Help with Identifying Carlton Model and Year

I salvaged this little character and wanted to know more about it . If anyone can help that would be great. TIA

1976 Carlton (3rd digit a 6 for 1976).

Crespera lugs and wrapover seat stays in tru-Wel so used on a load of different models.

Easiest to look in a 1976 catalogue for a bike with no chrome, no lamp boss and no brazed rear brake hanger (for centre pull) and that sort of colour.

Looks identical to my first real bike, a 1976 carlton corsa, bought for me in 1979, owned till 99.
Except I had pump pegs and lamp mount on the fork.
Geometry and lugs look the same.

Nothing matches exactly, however, there was a trend quite a few years back to grind off all brazings and convert to a "fixie" with a rattle can job.

Could be one of those...........
