Help with identifying a GT serial.

Some ID can also be gleaned from the other number in the middle of the shell ... not sure what yet, but I've seen the following:
A200-1
A420-P
A410-8
A174-G
Hey Sam! Thanks for the will to help first of all! I believe there are more digits, at least one or two. The frame is still not in my hands, only by next Friday probably( the photo and the rest I have were sent by the seller). As soon as I get hands on new photos( better photo!) for sure.
But let me ask this, the other digits, the "A 174 - G" mean anything?! or anything relevant?
I've been searching on many photos and models on the web, and the "7005" graved at the dropouts seem to point at 97/98 or such...even been looking at some "Backwoods" as a poss image (19).webp ibility.
Once again huge Thanks for the will to help on this ;) 👍 🍺 Cheers

7005 is the specific alloy it's made from.
Yes.... I've reached to GT and got a great answer!! They say it's a Asian production frame from October 2001.That later went on the market in 2002.
What puzzled me was the 7005 on a 2000's bike.... I thought it would be earlier from the late 90's....but it's sorted now ;) 👍 cheers And Thanks all !! 👍🍺🍺

Maybe show a pic of the full frame?

Otherwise it’s like playing with catchphrase with Mr Chips.
For sure 👍 Hope it helps you in adding some info on this. Cheers 🍺🍺;)
( didn't understand what you mean by in your last sentence 🤔)

That’s earlier than 2000 for sure.

96 onwards due to fat down tube and single bolt hanger.

No canti routing which rules out 96/97.

7005 was the lower end frames as even avalanche was starting to see 6061 by 98/99.

So I’m going with 98 Pantera or backwoods. They are all the same frame so doesn’t really matter.

Thanks for the info!! The reply I got from the guys at GT ( on the GT website) is that it's an Asian production frame from October 2001, that later went on the market in 2002. And that's what I know so far...but I agree that Pantera and Backwoods and even the Tempest was in the equation...so...

By that point didn’t even the lower end frames have intergrated seat clamps and also disc mounts.

Admittedly my knowledge is pre 99 and also higher end stuff but I still think it’s a 98 7005 frame

Catchphrase was a UK quiz show where contestants had to guess a popular phrase or saying represented by a hidden cartoon. Contestants gradually revealed the cartoon, square by square correctly answering General Knowledge questions and where allowed to guess based upon the partially revealed full picture. Mr Chips was the character who often (but not always) appeared in the Cartoon, often making gestures that appeared dubious or even unsavoury until the full cartoon was revealed.

Mr Chips - mid reveal - as he was often found.

Sorry, I don't know the GT model, but my guess is Pantera.
