New ones (III+)- turbo's gone - oops engine out.

Older ones - buy a defender they're just as bad .

Issue is that I'm taking up new job in an area where snow is likely to be a significant factor and I need to be mobile enough to travel the length/width of the country regularly.

Also on my list are:

AWD Volvo estate
Subaru
Toyota Hilux, maybe
Fiat Panda 4WD

Anything 4WD and cheap/reliable really will be considered. I have a 46 year old LR Series 2 which I can use at a push but long distance work isn't its forte :xmas-big-grin:
