Help. What’s this GT.

I bought this beauty, I thought it might be an Avalanche but it had blue paint at one point. Frame numbers on the BB are’ AC9i01434 , WLM13204S. Drop out has 005. Any help from you lovely people is appreciated.

I don't recognised the serial format, so based on that and the AC9 start I'd take a guess it could have been made in 1999. If so, that opens up more possibilies as there were more aluminium models in the range by then (Arrowhead, Terramoto etc.)

Thanks mate. I’ve looked at the arrowhead and the blue looks right. The gussets and dropouts are right. Guess it’s right. As it’s not that Retro I think it’ll be a pub bike.

I assume the dropout used to say 7005 before being welded.

That’s correct. That’s the grade of aluminium alloy used to make the frame.

Erm, I guess I’ll say it on behalf of everyone……..is it a Zaskar?
