Help wanted with boys bike

Islabikes every time.

Lighter than the others, with no pretendy suspension that adds weight and doesn't work.

We've got through 5 over the years for two boys. Some I've resold for the same money I've bought them for. Over that time I've had to replace one bottom bracket and that's all beyond the obvious brake blocks. They are used daily for the ride to school so lead hard lives.

Typically I seem to get about £40 less than what they are new come resale time. That's cheaper than some 34lb Halfords horror.

Again another one for Islabikes, i spent a good lot of money on a new GT 24 wheeled thing for my boy, and while the frame was light and it looked the part and had discs suspension and everything it weighed more than the majority of my full size bikes .

you forget how big heavy and unweildy bikes can be when your that age too, and how muc effort they are to pedal.
Islabikes are just as light and simple as they can be and good quality, we bought one for the wee one and it allegedly had a scuff to the decals so they knocked quite a bit off, the mark was teeny tiny and less damaged than when he put his leg over the cross bar for the first time and rubbed it with his shoe, but anyway Islabikes all the way and you will get your money back on them like no other.

I paid £300 for the GT and got back £150 for an immaculate well kept bike, Islabikes themselves will pay you half what you paid for it to take it back, and privately you will only be down a little on what you paid initially.

you might even meet Isla, who is an everso nice lady, checkout STW they come up all the time ;)
