Help - RST XMO / Englund air cartridge valve

So, I sort of snapped the valve on the top of my RST XMO's while topping up the air last night.
Yay!
That means I need to sort out a replacement valve part. Any ideas?

This is new territory for me, I have had a look online and through the forum and found a few bits on adjusting the fork but not yet come across a comprehensive dismantle and rebuild plan.
How hard can it be?
Rumour has it these are simple enough to work on so I should be able to work it out.

My main concern is getting a replacement valve. Since I don't have spec or parts list I'm not sure where to start.
Are these a generic part that can be picked up for pence? (because life's that easy)

What have you snapped? If it's just the bit inside the the threaded outer, these are replaceable anyway (valve core tool and replacement core needed, cost a few quid).

If it is the outer threaded part, again you should be able to replace, but might be more involved.

Which I removed with an odd size socket.....


To reveal what appears to be the bit I need to replace....


The broken thready bit on the top goes in the pump, the other end threads into the top of the cartridge.
And it all looks to be a single piece that the valve core slots into, so now I need to work out whether this is a generic or specific part.
I'll try to get a read on the threads, that might help I suppose.
Then see if it can be replaced

I'm afraid that valve is properly "forked"... You will need to salvage a part from some old Englund total air cartridge. There are single valve units available for automotive suspension applications (Oehlins for example) but I'm afraid the thread and taper on the un-broken part are different (taper pipe thread finer pitch).

Didn't see that exact one but a quick ebay search for "shock valve schrader" brought up a few similar. Even if I gave to bodge /modify it may be a way to go.
