Help pls! campagnolo C record Hub cap

Hi There!

I want to service my C Record 1984/5, hubs. To get access to the cones I need to pop open the hub caps. It requires a special tool.

Anyone have one or can anyone suggest to use something else?

I’ve heard that battery terminal pullers do the trick...

What about a wiper arm removal tool?

I have always used a flat fairly wide small screwdriver , if you do it really gently it just pops out, never had any issues?

I will look for a flat screwdriver to carefully lever it. I could tape it up too; to prevent scratching.

Wiper arm gadget bends upwards, needs to be thin and flat.

The rear looks normal. So this hub puller was only for the front, that’s quite a pathetic idea! Concept.

I also did it with a flat screwdriver, but very carefully to avoid scratches.
