you could try a penitrating oil in there and shove something in the end after youve cut it square near the
the frame and turn it upside down.over nite
i woul d get a piece of pipe a bit smaller than the inside of the s post.cut straight cuts and peel them open slightly so they spring back a bit once youve shoved it down there.
just like a headset removing tool but a bit sturdier and shorter.get a piece welded as a stop end with a hole drilled, threaded bar bolted at the bottom as long as you like out the top .push the tool in there ,nuts on top of the threaded bar.mole grips under
them.lump hammer up under the mole grips.depending on how much meat is down there alternatively you could ream or rotory rasp carefully round the inside untill the post falls to bits.ps after you cut the
pipe i would file the burrs .you dont want them knifing into the alloy on the inside of the s tube.[i usualy sniff around metal fabricators on industrial units for the stuff. they ve slung out,the workers are
mostly quite helpfull once they know what your about]

Something I do and it's never let me down. I have a steel crowbar I bought for a tenner which I've filed the business end into a hook. With this I can insert down the seat tube and hook under the edge of the seatpost, I can then bash upwards on the exposed 'hook' end.

If you have a quill stem lying around try inserting that and doing up the bolt / expanding wedge. If the seat post is wider than 27.2 use some beer can shims wrapped around the quill stem.
Take the bottom bracket out, turn the bike upside down and squirt lots of WD-40 or (preferably) plus gas into the seat tube. If you use a quill stem you don't care about then you can use some percussive persuasion on the stem as well. (Whack it with a hammer).

Its a slow process but cutting the post off with an inch left protruding and then carefully cutting two or three vertical slots through the post (not the frame....) and peeling/persuading the seatpost 'strips' out before crushing the remainder inwards has worked for me on an otherwise 'hopeless' case. your post looks to have been sheared off level but the technique should still work with care.

Unfortunately penetrating oil and plus gas type remedies often wont work because they do nothing to dissolve aluminium oxide (which is causing the post to stick). They are quite effective against ferrous oxide so would help steel-steel corrosion problems.

The slide hammer/stem trick sounds tempting but I've never tried it!

Re:

Before resorting to the brutal methods, give a try to this, mix up a 50/50 mix of acetone & auto transmission fluid (ATF )bung up the top of seat post/seat tube, tip frame upside down & pour in via BB enough to cover the left in post, leave for 2/3 days & then try to remove offending bit. If after a couple of attempts? no joy then resort to the more brutal methods although it has worked for me on 3/4 occasions when other methods failed, & you don"t do any damage with the trying.

HOW ! the nail bar and stem options are really quite similar. i like the parallel slot option and would like to have a go with my 36v reciprocating saw.
i relent in favour of the acetone one because ive got 20 litres in my van at the mo.
