Help on making a race number plate

I'm putting up together a bike that raced the TDF in 1986 and would like to make the race plate number . Should be something like the image, with Le coq Sportive logo in blue.... (pic is Lemond's bike, mine is not that one;)

Has anyone a bettter / nicer print out or picture that I could get the measurements from to reproduce it ? Thanks!

How are you planning on getting it made? Are you going to get vinyl decals of the graphics made to then stick on the plastic race plate?

I'm just wondering. I'm a graphic designer and I'd be happy to put the artwork together for it, depending on what the plan is. I think for measurements you need an actual race plate as a guide, I guess, rather than an image? I'm sure someone on here could help with that.

that style of race plate was very much dependent on the frame.
look at the UCI rules for the era and see what the dimensions could be.
after that, it's a piece of styrene and and a vinyl cutter.

Thanks @sjcprojects for the offer and @novocaine for the tip. I can do the graphics myself and then take to it print here locally, that should be easy as I've done similar projects before, but if some one had a close up pic / measurements of a real one, that would help . Could not find UCI rules from 86.
