hello, I am not very handy and I just purchased a Cannondale M 600. Bought it for $75 at a pawnshop had it tuned up for 65 so I'm going in for $140 right now. I just want to start out doing some small repairs and fixing up the bike. I wanted to replace the forks, the stem, and maybe put on some lighter handlebars. How do I know what size forks and handlebars to buy? Does anybody know of a site that can tell me the specs for my bike ? Any advice on easy upgrades that I should tackle would be greatly appreciated. :shock:

Welcome on board!
Forks will need the same size steerer diameter you currently have and also the same length of steerer. Do you have an idea of what you are going to put on, rigid or suspension?
As for stem it depends what system it is, a-head or quill?
Handlebar diameter will depend on the stem. Some photos would be really handy to see what stuff the bike currently has.
