Interesting. The number 30237 by itself would fit into the Holdsworth frame sequencing and place your frame c1966. (see dwscrimshaw's thread: Holdsworth Frame Numbering) The 5 speed Spectra was the most economical Claud frame and it looks to me that the frame is identical to the Holdsworth Clubman's Typhoon. The demand for Clauds was apparently greater than for their Holdsworth models so it is conceivable an early Spectra as yours was simply a Typhoon frame badged as a Claud by the Holdsworth factory. On other hand perhaps the frame was built before the sequence I mention above got rolling. Numbers in early to mid 60's are a tad confusing.
