Maybe, I wouldn’t doubt what your dad said. I do note however that the front fork ends look like forged without mudguard eyes, and the rear dropouts look very like 40s heavy plate (very similar material to my holdsworth) with mudguard eyes. My bet is only one pair are original, and I’d bet on the rear. More photos? If you’re interested and have time? Of course, you may not be as geeky about old bikes as some of the rest of us.
