Thanks for all the detective work and help. It's definitely been altered at the BB, top tube cable stops and I can now see the rack bosses on the rear dropouts have been removed.
Makes it hard to i.d. but it seems as if it's a 91 Clockwork or Prestige, probably Clockwork, so I'll look for that year's decals. I think it is worth spending the money on a new powdercoat in satin black.
