Help identifying 90's Kona

Whatever it is it’s very cool, maybe a Kilauea or another kona painted white. Can you give us a picture of the bottom of the seattube?

What’s your plans with it?

Not exactly the sure of the full plans with it. It's small for me so I was thinking something kind of nimble and fun for the streets and the little local trails. Maybe I'll get it to somebody who's smaller than me. I would even really be willing to part with the frame. I just saw the opportunity to get a to get a steel Kona and jumped. Maybe a little too quick lol

Someone's removed the SN which usually indicates it's been stolen at some point in its life. Unless it was you that removed it with some over eager sanding

For reference my previous frame weights were as follows:

1990 Lava Dome: 2.88kg -19" Tange DB

1993 Kilauea: 2.2kg -19" Tange Prestige Concept

1993 Explosif: 1.96kg - 19" Tange Ultralite / Ultrastrong

Therefore as yours is smaller, maybe lower-spec than Kilauea?

Yeah it seems to have been through some adventures in its life. I was hoping that pulling the paint off would help reveal some mysteries but honestly it just added more.

FM’s and fire mountains were about 6lb however this one seems lighter. Not sure there are any major differences between a fire mountain and a lava dome
