Got offered this.

cant find another like it though online.

canti's, front rack mounts and 3 ring chainset, say defo purpose built touring bike..

doesent look like a raleigh royal? is it a randonneur with the front mounts?

Thinking could make an interesting quick project, new tape, mudguards and racks etc.

I'm new here, so I hope no one minds if I just dive in.

I looks a lot like my Randonneur. The front rack mounts are right, the braze ons are right, and the geometry looks about right. It even has the SR seatpost.

Does it have spoke holders on the chainstay?

If you like I can take some detail photos of mine tomorrow (and measurements if yours is the 57cm-ish one) . That might help give a positive identification.

I have to say I really like mine, rides beautifully and super comfy.

In the meantime here are some measurements, taken as best I can from a built up bike.

Top tube: 560mm ctc

Head tube: 148mm

Down tube: 622mm ctc

Seat tube: 550mm ctc

Seat stay: 570mm from end of plug on seat cluster to centre of q/r

chain stay 437mm ctc.

Here are some pics of a rather grubby Randonneur. I had intended to give it a proper clean, go for a ride and take some pretty photos. But the weather here is vile, so I just snapped some quickies in the cemetery while out running an errand.
