Help identify this Specialized 80's bike

So I picked up this bike cheap this morning thinking it was a late 80's Specialized Rockhopper, possibly Hardrock or even Stumpjumper. Its a dark purple, has a couple of Specialized decals but no model name. The thing that is throwing me off is the cable stop attachment hanging off the seat binder. Handlebar and seat are not original. The drive train is Shimano Deore DX. Thanks for any additional information about this bike.

Lots of pictures of my 89 Stumpjumper Comp here in the same "Black with Purple Pearl" colour scheme.

With the subtle difference in the seat tube collar at the seat post but still with the standard and same cable hanger, I concur this is the Rockhopper from that year.

I have a RH, the blue white, from the same year, but it is specced with mountain lx. It has that cable hanger for the rear brake too.

No, it's the latest purchase, but all original except rear tire. Now looking for a matching one or a set. Otherwise no issues, just decal damage.
