the same rim or something completely different.

I can't seem to find this rim anywhere so think will have to find something different.

If you want the same rim then you just have to be patient, they were manufactured '95/96, over 13 years ago!

I have waited 6 months + to get some bits i have been looking for and have lists of stuff that i'm waiting to turn up for sale.

If you are desperate to run these wheels, then just get a cheepo rim for now and keep your eye out for a 220.

I understand your frustration, i have 2 projects waiting on a small number of parts for nearly a year now!

If you really want to get this finished then you could always buy 2 rims.
Do a it of research here http://www.sheldonbrown.com/wheelbuild.html#rims so at least you wont have to buy spokes too.

Cool thanks for that will have a look at that over next few days, got aload of kids at house tomorrow my son's birthday party 6 year olds running around so no time to sort out rim then

Previous posts have the sort of rims you can use. Most Modern Mavic's have the same (or very similar) ERD which is the Effective Rim Diameter. It is that that will determine spoke length.

XM317 for a good cheap rim will do.

So do i have to mesure the spokes?? Sorry thicko me

You may need to measure your spokes but if the ERD size on the new rim is the same as the one you are replacing, then the spokes you have will be the right length, as long as they are laced in the same way.
If you do measure them, you'll need to go from the centre of the bend on the spoke head to the very end of the thread.

The DT spoke calculator is very useful for finding out what spokes you need for various hub and rim combinations.
