Help…!?!

hello everyone, I’m quite new to this so please be patient, I’ve bought a Kona Hei Hei Supreme.
I’m not sure of anything, age, spec etc but I’ve got a load of mtb bits and I’m hoping to build it to a reasonable spec.
Questions:
What rear shock do I need? Cost is very sensitive!
How do I swap gears
Set up gears
Set up shimano XT gears
All has bean stripped from a working Orange Sub Five that I’ve been trying to sell for ages as it too small for me.

For setting up brakes & gears and routine build / servicing tasks then Park Tool do excellent videos and I would recommend starting there.

That rear shock doesn't look right to me. You'll need to find the measurements that the frame is designed for, the i2i of the shock and travel. Maybe that one is right but it looks a little close to the seat tube to me.
