Hello

Dirt Disciple
At long last Ive managed to find a website that covers my interest in MTB. Hard tailed thumbshifting wonders.

I've had my current bike for 14 years and still give it an occasional run out. Time is getting short for the old mare as parts, especially drivetrain components, are begining to get rare.

She was unconventional from the start being built for a somewhat unconventional size of rider (me). Reynold tubing from 531, ATB, Magnum and ST tubesets make for a very rigid and lively handling frame. Built buy Charlie Ralph of Alves Cycles (01343 860382) in Morayshire its looking a little tired now and this is its 3rd deserved respray.

The groupset fitted was one of the first Campagnolo Icarus/Super Record OR setups in the UK. It was never as slick as Shimano but certainly possitive in use. Its lasted well despite very high milage and several nasties. Some Items have had to be replaced through wear and tear and accident damage but thats mountain bikes and It was never built just to look at.

Just looking forward to recieving my next bike to replace the old faithfull. She will be more of the same. Good hard wearing reliable kit on another excelent hand crafted steel frame. Will post some pictures of them both when I manage to find some.
