Hello and could you spare your expertise?

Once you ride the bike, you will know if it fits you.

I would say if you're keeping the stem that high then chances are it's too small for you or you need a different bike.

I am considering doing some (much) longer rides in the future, so would be possibly using the bike to ride from Amsterdam to Copenhagen over 5 days.

Some guys did that trip on fixies with luggage in their messenger bags for the Bike Messenger World Championships a few years ago.

So if they can....

Amsterdam to Copenhagen over 5 days is some fair mileage each day though. Will you have support vehicles?

You must also bear in mind the bike capacity on the train from Nyborg to Korsør. It's limited. 5 guys at once might give them/you some headaches.

If you need help with directions etc etc through Denmark, don't hesitate to get in touch.

It will be with a group of riders who did a similar ride last year, from Paris to Amsterdam. The thinking is to carry on the ride from the end point of last year. They did not have support vehicles but were doing between 70 and 100 miles a day.

Interesting what you say about the trains, as there is more likely going to be 10-15 guys doing the trip.

Do you have a link to any info on the ride the messengers did? Sounds like a right hoot, wonder how many times their cracks spun ??

Sorry no link about the messengers. I met them at a wedding, not online.

10-15 guys is probably the capacity of the train for bikes. It's 2 bikes per carriage so there's no way you'll get on without prebooking or splitting into smaller groups.

There's also the question of Jutland to Fyn - as that's a non-cyclable bridge too. There is a workaround though which involves a ferry from Germany to Southern Fyn.

Cant say for sure, but it looks identical to my Muddyfox Alu Comp, just different colour and spec. Think mine was about a 95' model. Came with a threadless/aheadset and its 1 1/8, just fitted a Chris King to it. Have a look at my thread for pics.
