Heeeeelp! Deore LX parallelogram v-brake problem...

Hi everyone, I disassembled two pairs of excellent Shimano Deore LX parallelogram v-brakes (BR-M570), but I can't re-attach them to my bike anymore. By inserting the pawl in the central hole of the support on the forks, the return of the lever is very weak, as if the spring weren't working. On all four, so not all the springs could have broken. Only the small spring that makes the parallelogram work works. Has anyone had these and can point me in the right direction? They were really good brakes and I wouldn't give up for a stupid thing....thanks

You do realize that you have to put those pointy springrods behind the hooks on the brake arms?

That's what I was thinking but I wanted to see how it was set up first.
