I was worried that the cups on my HS were a poor fit because i didnt have to hammer/press them in.
Feeling better now :cool:

The issue with that frame is not the risk of the head tube breaking off, it's there is no longer any pressure holding the cup. Its "sprung". Put the bike on the wall.

All metals are subject to fatigue failure. Aluminum has the lowest threshold for fatigue damage of materials used to make frames.
