Headtorch Recommendations?

You need 2 lenses for close and distant lighting.

You know those idiots with a million lumens flashing headlights that just shine everywhere, specially the eyes of approaching riders?
Cr4p lens.

A good lens puts the light where you want, but reading and riding are 2 different places.

you are going to have a small heart attack when you see the price though. :)

Not as bad as i thought it might be.
I've got a petzl, been using it 15 years, seems fine.

People regret buying crap far more than they regret buying quality.

Yes personally I think the flashing ones should be bannned now - they are way too bright. Made sense when they were very weak BITD, but now they are like car headlights

I think there is also a bit of "piss poor set up" on those though. they are never angled downwards to shine 6ft in front of the rider, they always seem to be set level or slightly up so they hit the driver in the face.

but I guess 2/3s of the people riding with them have 0 idea how to setup a light and just go with "bright is best".
