I think Race Face is also worth mentioning, I have a 10 year old RF headset that is still super smooth, and my wife has a newish Deus in her OCLV Trek Fuel that feels as good as a King to me and looks very nice too. I believe the RF Deus sells for less than King or Hope.

the older headsets(real seal,thermo and team) were and still are very good, but the lastest offerings are not so good. the sealing is left to the bearing supplier and these are only as good as an entry level headset. the cost of the race face headsets is in the machining and although it is good, either the king or the hope is better imo.

Never tried any Race Face headsets but if they're like the rest of their kit they've got to be good
