saw this this morning on at 99 p, it stayed that way until about 7p.m when someone put a bid on, I expected it to go for big money after a few more bids but put a £25 punt and won.

So is it a pretty original 85 or 86 Rockhopper, and should i be chuffed.

Of course i now have to work out how to get it here

So would I! - Could've got the other-half to drop me off and ridden it home... :?

I could always collect it for you and post it on at cost??

we are Stevo, that would be absolutely wonderful if you could, you would be fully reimbursed and compensated for your kindness.
So anyone know anything about these things, is it 85 or 86?

85.5

I have one exactly like it, and from the (little) research I have done I believe this is an 85 1/2....the parts on mine (all original) do not match the catalog spec's for any rockhopper, and use the same bullmoose bars as the stumpy. I found something somewhere saying the first rockhopper frames were introduced mid 1985, before the 1986 model year, and utilized many of the same parts as the stumpjumper. Mine seems to fit that bill perfectly, and looks just like yours!

What a coincidence, I have one exactly like it!

Ah, it is yours...
