Has anyone come across Scoop bikes?

Just seen this - looks old but never heard of Scoop. I like the paint job. Anyone got any info on them?

Never heard of them myself. Looks to be a lower to mid end roadster from the 80s, maybe 90s; but unknown what original components would have been. Any tubing decal might help tell origin and quality level. I think "SCOOP" is the model more than the brand, but it may also be a previous owner's name (nickname).

that looks like those sticker letters you can buy to put your name on stuff. perhaps Scoop was the nickname of the owner.

I looked at the photos (which did not help much), and saw the Shimano "positron" shifter which was more of a mid 70s to mid 80s thing before Shimano introduced the "SIS" components. Not sure how long the "positron" system remained in use, but I believe it was still being used in the mid 80s at least.
