Best thing for getting the oxidisation off and bringing the frame back to it's natural brushed finish is Cif cream kitchen/bathroom cleaner and one of those rough plastic cleaning pads. Clean it up with plenty of soapy water aswel and it should look a lot brighter.
They were never polished or laquered as standard. Just satin brushed finish.

a picture paints a thousand words.

this is the same finish as on my MOHO and it's what i'm talking about.

mine looks a bit worse though, dull and scratched in places and i want to
completely strip it and then <insert action here> to make it look like new .

were we talking about the same thing afterall or not?

i took the bike to a car polisher a couple of days ago and we test-polished
the frame in a few small patches and it seems it will come up a treat!

but the weird thing is that it doesn't seem to have a clear coat on yet it
doesn't oxydate like normal bare aluminium would?
