even for parts worth the money

you are joking, right? its got 70gs parts, the lowest of the low with very poor performance. The 'handbult in england' probably excludes specialized and maybe brings in low rent raleigh or radford/butler. Even at £20 its over the odds

If i had the choice between this and a new BSO I would have this hands down, but agree it's nothing special.

Pete, stop talking down the price. I could collect it for you and hang on to it until the next time you're up this way? ;)

Handbuilt not made

It also says 'Handbuilt in England' not handmade.
Handbuilt means the frame is more than likely built overseas and the complete bike is assembled or 'handbuilt' in England.
Bike is built, frame is made ;)

"Hand made Mountain Bike"... Funny how a specific combination of words can convey such a different meaning.

I was expecting something fillet-brazed by Tom Ritchey and custom specced by Charlie Kelly and Gary Fisher. Ah well...

Damn it I've been rumbled, damn you auction watch, damn you Tallpaul, damn you bludawg!

70GS???? That must be unbelievably bad, considering I have a Plastic 200GS chainset temporarily on my Hardrock

The kit on the bike your parents bought said a lot about their hidden feelings towards you: tourney meant you were actually adopted and probably ginger, 70gs meant your parents really hated you and wished you harm, 100GS meant that they regretted having you, 200gs and they were annoyed at the free time and money you took off them. Only at Exage did parental love start to shine through, Deore and your parents were proud that you were their child.
