Hammerite; Hot or Not?

hi,

is smooth hammerite any good as a cheap finish? is it stickable to aluminium.

i have some black, but am tempted by british racing green hammerite!

i am piecing together two old bikes from bits and pieces; no monetary value.
i would sooner spend the money on my 15 year old daily bike, this will get a powder finish in time.

one of the frames is a saracen alu, with a really duff silver paint finish.

it does look good on test i have done, nice sparkly bits!

its nice to get them going rather than sitting around, i am on long term sick at present.

will the paint stick well onto it; i remeber stories of the early cannondales and dont want to repeat that look.

When you sand it and put a layer clearcoat over it it possibly looks good:

no, just a piece of a brick; those meadows are somewhat overfertilized for these comrades :roll:
