Halfords fun...........

Old School Grand Master
A friend of mine has just came back from halfrauds after "Trying" to buy a G.T. He is absolutely furious at the spotty teenager who served him  as he refused to unchain a bike for him to have a look at it as "The keys are in the office"he asked the youth "Could you not go and get them then?" To be told that "I am very busy and do not have time" We are not talking about a timewaster here as the only place to buy a bike in my town is there or bloody argos  He had five hundred pounds to spend so went to the checkout and asked to see the manager to complain about the youths attitude, only for the manager to say perhaps he ,was, busy  the money was shown to the manager and he was told I will now go to a norwich and buy from a real bike shop  manager looked aghast but tough hey

Bought my last bike from Paul's, a last year's model with a £600 discount - still chuffed. :D

I know people say you should support your LBS, but if you saw the choice where I live you might change you're mind. There's a surf shop that sells Trek and Orange, but the staff are too cool to actually serve you, there's a shop that sells cheap BMX and kids bikes and a shop run by the grumpiest man in the northern hemisphere, I'd sooner thump him than spend money in his shop. Then there is of course Halfords, about which I have mixed feelings.
