Raleigh Triathlon 1987, hand built at the Raleigh Lightweights Division
Recently stripped and re-built. Mostly original (see last photo for catalogue). Fast and light. Also included is the original Zefal SP4 pump which fits inside the main triangle (not photographed).
Frame: Reynolds 531 double butted main tubes
Seat tube 23.5'' from bottom bracket to top of seat tube (23'' from bottom bracket to centre of top tube). Top tube is 22 1/4'' centre to centre. 74 degrees parallel. Mudguard eyes.
Fork: Reynolds 531 tapered gauge. Mudguard eyes.
Due to small amounts of corrosion around the lugs the frame and fork have been sanded in places and anti-rust primer applied followed by 2 coats of enamel. As you can see in the photos the colour and texture match are not exact.
Headset: New headset fitted by bike shop, used once since
Crankset: Shimano 105 Biopace 52/42, good condition
Pedals: Not included
Derailleurs: Shimano 105 front and rear
Shifters: Shimano 105 downtube, friction front, indexed rear (6 speed). New cable inners fitted, shifts very well
Brake levers: Shimano 105 SLR.
Freewheel: Shimano 6 speed
Chain: Shimano HG, fitted a few weeks ago, ridden once
Brakes: Shimano 105 caliper
Rims: Weinmann hollow section, true
Tyres: Rear Michelin Pro 700x23C, Front Schwalbe Lugano 700x23C
Hubs: Shimano 105 quick release
Bars: Sakae Road Champion drop
Stem: Sakae 100mm, free to adjust
Saddle: Selle Italia XO
Seatpost: 4130 chromoly, free to adjust
