the rear hanger is wrong for a backwoods i think

If you can discount a Backwoods as it has the wrong hanger then that says to me that you know a bit about GT's. Are you sure you thought that you had a genuine Zaskar?

Read between the lines here.... Good pickup!

I think we finally should make "how to recognize fake Zaskar" thread as a sticky note.

Avalanche i think anyone disagree?
Highly unlikely. I've never seen painted mid 90's Avalanche. They were all polished alu. My closest bet is Pantera in that colour. Maybe. Or maybe not.

He must think that nobody here has ever owned a genuine Zaskar

Bit of a typical twatish retrobike comment imho.

That's ok, your allowed your honest opinion ;)

It might be worth learning how to spell before you progress on to belittling someone's bike knowledge.

Just an idea like ;-)

It's pretty obvious he's made a genuine mistake, but the bike geeks just can't help themselves from jumping on him which seems pretty frequent on here. The prototype Zaskar thread is like a Venus knob head trap, it's full of the clever bellends.

It's not a Zaskar, end of, move on, or make another song and dance out of **** all, all imho btw B-)

Would you be so kind as to tell me what I have spelt incorrectly?

Hi 64 split rat def not a Zaskar :( Did you buy it from a bloke in Coventry by any chance ?

na it came from a mate, he and i didnt realize but not bothered. seam to of started something on here tho. All i wanted was to sell it as it has been in my loft for a couple of years and im not going to use it as i rebuilt my talara. I do have some knowlage of bikes and yes this was an honest mistake for all the nay sayers. Is there any way of telling from the frame no?
