Dirt Disciple
GT Zaskar Race from 2001. recently had full service including both wheels trimmed so running real sweet.
Absolute peach of a bike- just google the reviews for it and you'll see what I mean. I believe it had an original retail value somewhere in the region of £1700. Also, from what I've read, this was one of the last models to actually be made in the States before they shipped out to Taiwan.
Has had quite light use- the guy I got it off had just used it around town and I've just kept it for summer trails. There are a few scratches, mostly from storage and for a bike of this age but it's all pretty minor.
The original forks have been swopped out with a nice responsive steel offering from Wiggle at about £ 80.
It's also got some nice trail tyres on which also makes it nippy around town.
I will take the ergo grips and pedals off before selling and replace with the originals, if you want either of them kept on I'm sure we could come to some agreement.
Sad to see this bike go, it really is the smoothest, most responsive and lightest mtb I've ever ridden but I need to down size as moving.
To give you an idea, I'm 6'3 and this bike fits like a glove, I think a couple of inches either way would be fine too.
Offers in the region of 250? Sorry no postage, collection from Bournemouth in the next few weeks or South Devon thereafter.
Any questions feel free to ask. Test rides welcome please just bring adequate deposit e.g passport, girlfriend etc.
