King was riding for balance in 93.

I think that any world cup won on a gt (XC) from 91-99 was on a xizang, I think Jerome Chiotti wasnt on a GT when he won the canberra worlds and well his doesn't count anyway. Dunlop won some world cups at the end of the 90's? and the worlds in 01 and they didn't make xizangs then I had a pic from MBA of her winning on a zaskar, think it was the white with red/ble stripes, so at least a world cup and I think a worlds win.
DH no idea about early world cup wins, but 92 was an RTS for Furtado and Nico used an LTS for 95 and one in 96 over an STS and I can't Imaging anyone using a HT for DH in any even after 95...

What I`d give to see a pic of Nico`s factory Zaskar.I was a big fan of his and didnt know he used one as late as `94.

can you link the pic? Because the only pic I can find there that looks like Voulloz on a Zaskar says kaprun 94, and i think gachet won that from king with rockwell 3rd.

OK been looking lots, vouillioz was a junior for 92-94 so none of those world champs count I say (in this topic).
I think we can safely say a Zaskar never won senior world championship..

What is interesting, as an aside for me anyway, I'm a big rally fan, you go looking up stuff on rallying and you can find out who did, well anything, you can get the info. Whether it's world rounds, national round, individual stages, you can get the driver/codriver details, the car details down to the reo and chassis number.
MTB you can get the top 3 at each disciple at the worlds and the world cup, but getting details of each world cup... you have to go looking damn hard!.

Couldn't agree more, pain in the ass trying to find anything out. Might email GT & ask, it's there quote & plastered all over their literature. I think it's not the Zaskar, as the quote just mentions the triple triangle design, but I reckon it's been altered along the way to be the Zaskar, sort of Chinese whispers by Zaskar owners.
