GT Xizang 1989 - fillet-brazed steel!

I have a very good Suntour BEAST with me. Fork will not be painted until december, I am afraid. However, the painter is very good and a specialist for splatter paint jobs.

In the meantime I must find the Diacompe 984 Cantis, a nice set of Farmer John (Cousin) tires and some Suntour XC 9000 pedals.

In the meantime I will work on my 1990 Xizang. Another thread will be coming soon...

Unfortunately, the project was never finished because the painter let me down. However, there will be a new try.

Was it painting the fork to match the frame that halted progress?

A few weeks ago, a third steel Xizang popped up in this forum and was offered on ebay.com. As I was on holiday/parental leave and do not search ebay.com I missed it. Two weeks ago I came across the thread here and PMed the owner. He is a very nice person and now the frame is mine. It should be with me shortly.

If anyone sees this one or a similar size Ti/chromo one come up for sale let me know! Either of those would fulfill the role of my dream GT.

Yes, the fork stopped the process. I have 100% of all parts needed for the catalogue build.
