GT Timberline Forks 1/18 Rigid 26" or similar

As in the title. I'm trying to make my timberline rigid for winter commuting but also keeping the bike pretty standard. Bouncing around all over the place with some crazy jett forks at the moment.

What length steerer do you need? Threaded or ahead steerer?
