GT Tequesta Wild Fiesta 89' build

Hi there I'm new on this forum and wanted to share my new whip !

I found this beautiful Tequesta on a online marketplace and went straight for it.
It had Maxxis bth (26x2.15) already installed and had been regreased + new cables.
The whole groupset was stock and everything is in mint condition with no rust at all.

My first upgrade was the aluminum straight handlebar with the mtb grips. Then I changed the stock Gt seat for a Fizik Aliante I found for cheap. I handed up putting a Pelago rack on there it and did a 1x conversion on the crankset to shed some weight and fit my commuter needs.

GT created a timeless paint job on this one. It looks as fresh now as it must have done when it was still in the shop over 30 years ago!

Indeed, this bike was garage kept for 30y and was barely used... I love those retro paints they've been made with care you can tell

Theres a whole lotta love for GTs on here and their paint! Yours will fit in just dandy every single one is unique
I've had many but a few just won't come my way yours is up there at the top of want!

Nice bike! If you are not bothered about keeping the GT seat I am sure someone on here would be keen to buy it.
