Hi folks, I bought an STS DH frame off a member on here a while ago and have been building it up and messing about with it for the past few weeks.
I always wanted an LTS 1 when I was about 14 and into mountain biking.
I then lost interest and got more into fiddling with cars, going out etc.
Anyway then I thought could maybe get an LTS but saw this instead and bought it.
Here was the frame I bought.
I then stripped off some bits I was going to use from my old Trek 930 which I bought in 97/98 and changed bits and bobs on.
I knew some of my old parts were decent so planned to use those but bought a XT chainset and BB, some new shifters as I was going to be lazy, chain, XTR front mech as my old XT one was top pull and I needed the opposite.
I then started the build, feeding the cables through the frame was fun!!
One of my old Avid arch rival v brakes had a crack in it where you can adjust them so I replaced that with an XTR one.
Here are some pics of the finished bike. I know SID shocks are not ideal and I plan on changing to something like marzocchi 66's but that will not be for a while.
Sorry the pics are not as clear as I expected. I will maybe replace in the future.
Cheers,
Paul.
