Hey there,

looking for some parts for my '93 RTS 1 (trying a catalogue build-up)

- Seatpost GT New Alloy, 27.0mm x 350mm (or longer)
- Saddle ATB Leather Racing w/ Titanium Rails
- GT Titanium Axle QR Sets

and finally the Wheelset:
XTR M900 Hubs + Mavic M231, 32Hole

Now also looking for ParkPre Alu-Forks, ahead.

Yep, nice looking saddle, but I'm looking for the one shown in the 1993 catalogue. Until then there'll be a Flite holding its place...

Are you sure its a 27.0mm you are after? My 93 RTS 1 is 26.8mm

also my rts1 from 92/3 is 26.8mm

i thought there was a avocet 02 ti railed saddle on it?

Hey there,

yes, sure 27.0mm. GT is said to have switched the diameters at that time, depending on what tubing was available it seems. :?:
The dude I bought it from had a 26.8 post installed, that was too small. When I loosened the clamp, it just fell into the frame. Then a 27.2 post fell into my hands and that was a little too wide. So I'm going to try with 27.0 now.

As for the saddle: here on page 44 it says "ATB Leather Racing with Titanium Rails", so that's what I'm going for.

RTS 1 seems to be an interesting thing

Interesting - GT gm in the US has one that is 28.6mm - his is a ex team bike though I think. just wanted to make sure that you didn't need a 26.8mm as I know where there's a NOS one

I too am quietly chasing down parts for my 93 RTS 1. I have it all except the saddle but I am thinking flight as the OE one looks odd I think :?

Yeah, I saw a 26.8 post on US-ebay, already asked if they possibly had a 27.0, but no luck...

Saddle seems to be hard as well. Let's see who get's there first (guess you, as I'm also still missing the wheelset... :roll: )
