GT RTS - top tube end cap and piggyback shock questions

1) With GT RTS I’ve been told that the end cap was different between the top and inferior models. I.e. that the RTS 1 or team had a flat cap (like a zaskar) but that the 3’s and 2’s had a rounded cap. Does anyone know if this is true ? I’m trying to identity an old frame and not sure how to work out what model it may have been.

2) Does anyone know if you can still get aftermarket piggyback shocks that would fit an RTS ?

Re: GT RTS - top tube end cap question

from my understanding, the frames with the flat end cap were mad in the US, all those with the curved end caps were made in Taiwan. The same went for Zaskar hardtails.

yep, flat cap on the top usa made 1 and team, curved for non usa 2,3...etc

Re:

All above is correct. You can also identify a us built frame as per the zaskar style setial number.

Noleen still make piggy back shocks, risse do air versions. Both cost ££. I will potentially have a spare noleen piggy back once i upgrade to a risse.
