GT RTS rocker pivots play or no play

I’ve been offered a GT RTS frame. I’ve disconnected the shock and from the rocker pivot there is a little play from side to side. Ordinary I’d think this was wrong but I’m sure I recall that there was some sort of play?

Any help with what is right and wrong would be appreciated before I pull the trigger….

The rocker has press in ball bearings. Close to no play, if they are new. But you can swap them. Iirc they are standard parts that are also used in Rollerblade wheels. Or was it skateboards?

The rocker bearings are a standard size and easily replaced so shouldn't be a worry. I'd check for cracks at the stay pivot points, rocker mount, seat stay brace and head tube.

It’s a keeper…. The rocker bearings are on the way but will be ok for now. Thanks for your help, I really should start a thread about it.
