GT RTS-3

Hiya,

Unfortunately never did find a manual, only vague references around online. Did find out that Noleen was on offshoot of Ohlins, which is pretty cool.

Did quite a bit more to remove play from the pivots though. The knocking was sending me mental. Found that they used all threaded bolts through plain steel bushes, which had developed a lot of play on the shock mounting and rockers pivot.

So swapped them out for oversized sintered bronze bushings and used shoulder bolts through them. Which fit perfectly. The bronze is self lubricating, so hopefully should last longer. Took a lot of figuring out to get the right size parts (found them on eBay). Example below...

The RTS has had quite a few updates since I last posted. Hardly any original parts left on it!

Added XT M737/9 8 speed front and rear mechs, Brifters and front V's. Rear is black LX Canti's, Odyssey brake booster.

Up front got a black Thomson stem, with red X-lite cap and spacer and a 25.4 Azonic riser.

Swapped the front fork for a Z2 Bomber with 65-70mm travel, which suits the geometry much better than the Z1.

Also now running Hope hubs and Mavic rims, although got an XC mono on the back and Ti on the front.

So its all a bit of miss-matched mess but I built it to ride and it works great. I have a limited budget, so I just acquire parts I like, when I see them at a good price.

Did you rebuild the noleen shock? If so what was your floating piston measurement?
