Re:

Hey Jazz,

You have to make 5 or 6 posts before you can post photos (it's to deter spammers).

I'm happy to post the Gumtree photos for you.

Also, you might want to include if you're happy to pack and post or if you'd prefer pick up only, cash or Paypal etc.

As for price - you could list it on Ebay and tick the 'Best Offer' box. That way you wouldn't commit to selling it, but you'd get an idea of what buyers would be prepared to pay. Just a thought.

wow....!

JonTom, Thanks for helping me out here, as you can probably tell i'm a newby hear.
I will certainly take your advice on board.

I have being attempting to find out if this bike is actually desirable, collectable, its year, and approximate value.
I doubt it has much value, and not worth the effort to post OS.
I've had offers hear of $200 AD pick up....Im guessing thats fair?

Thanks again for getting the bike on show etc, much appreciated.
Im open to any other thoughts you may have..... regarding bike that its....!

Cheers,

Jazz

No worries. Happy to help.

Your RTS looks like a '96.

Many factors will affect the price - size, condition, originality, rarity etc. People will always throw you low ball offers - it's human nature. If you have time on your side, and you don't need to sell it quickly, it may pay you to hold out for a while. Otherwise, haggle with a counter offer or agree to meet halfway.

The other thing you could do is start a thread in the 'What's my XYZ worth' section. There are a lot of GT experts here - with a lot of combined wisdom. Use it. You'll find the forum here: viewforum.php?f=78

One more thing: invest half an hour this weekend and give it a good wash, a polish, and take a few good photos. If you're asking $300, make it look like a $300 bike. ;)

It so happens i did start a thread in "what's my XYZ worth" chat.

I will try to get some clean pics up on the XYZ worth chat once i've clocked up some posts.

Thanks again

Old School Hero,

Being the owner of this bike one would think i would know what size it is.....?
Well !......Maybe not!......i'm 5' 10' which suits an 18". when i purchased steed back then, that's was my understanding. I never looked back.....
I suppose size could be other....It worked for me....geometry could be all wrong?
I'm not sure where to take measurements from, but if you were to take from center point of crank to up most point of ST Length its =18'' if you take from centerline of crank to top of frame its 17"
So as to specific sizes i guess you have a better idea than i. Your help is more than welcome.
That said do you think this stead is worthy of a new home.

Cheers
Jazz
