Sold GT RTS-1 19" Frame with Rock Shox Forks SOLD

Hopefully this picture helps! If not, let me know đź‘Ť

Definitely not the usual format for a RTS 1 or team.

would usually be month / year and then numbers.

Might be worth asking in the RTS group as I’ve not any with that format

What else could it be other than a RTS-1?

I'm a Klein guy, and just have this frameset by chance.

Could be something like a team riders or prototype. But all these which I’ve seen have the riders name stamped.

Or it could be a bitsa with a grinded off serial and new one stamped on.

As mentioned it’s got odd front and rear triangles for some reason.

Ok thanks for the info.

Is the price fair in your opinion.

Will ebay it, if no luck on here.

Yes it’s more than fair on paper for a RTS 1.

However the size makes it less desirable and also the question regarding the mismatched triangles and serial. Most people prefer the alloy rear end so likely wouldn’t be an issue anyway.

I know someone who’s just paid £500 for a 16 inch 94 RTS 1 frame.

Chipping in here with one of my own RTS frames with the same style serial format as yours, plus a few other quirks I have not seen on an rts before, and I e had a few:

While trying to identify mine, a few other threads were linked to, suggesting the front triangle at least is a 92:

Yes the front triangle is the first version which is 93MY. Some built in 92.

These differ as they have the P clips for routing rather the normal cable stops of a 94 frame. Bottle mounts were also added on the frame bit above the shock.

Decals also match 93 and look original. The World Cup one is OE as the repro ones aren’t identical from what I’ve seen.

Rear triangle changed to alloy with brake rocker in 94. The shock is also 94+.

I think someone had a 94 bike , and broke the front triangle which they changed for a 93 one. Doesn’t explain the serial though as it’s format isn’t like a USA built one I’ve seen.
