GT Pantera Frame 97 I think

 I just looked again, although same decals/colour, the one in the show us your GT thread looks like it has a more squared top tube end, zaskar style :? , i'm all confused now :?

EDIT... Bikepedia lists the Pantera as '96 in black or brushed with canti's and 97' in ball burnished or blue with V's

the pantera had a different name in the german catalogues.

in 1996 it was the terramoto

dont believe everything bikepedia tells you, its not reliabe i find. From the decals i do think it is 97, perhaps in a colour not listed in the catalogue.

might be an 98 though

It is the exact same frame as the one in show us your GT's where they guy thinks its a 97 too

GT class it as a size 18 measured, centre bb to centre intersect on seat tube. but it is 20 centre to top, the top tube is not overly long though i think i measured it at 22.5 so comparable to other medium size frames. The lack of sloping top tube makes it look bigger too i reckon. Having read through threads here there are freaky tall people who like a size 16 GT, and normal size 5'8-10 people who are perfectly fine on this middle size GT. so its horses for courses
For me it just looks and feels to big, its a mental thing rather than the bike not fitting, i also like more standover

they also did a 16 and a 20 inch gate. this is the middle size medium, it would make no sense i reckon to make a medium a large and an xtra large

its a lovely frame though

The more I look at this frame the more I like it, I think it'll make a lovely clean looking single speed, i'm now trying to re-organise my finances to allow for it

she is lovely bob, whats the deal with postage to the IOW? Royal mail class it as mainland uk is that right, but couriers charge highlands and islands rates ?

Yep that's right, courier wise I use senditnow.com, they use Royal Mail's Parcelforce so we're classed as mainland which is how it should be  everyone's postcode over here starts with PO which is the same as Portsmouth

sell me your B17 and your be flush Laughing

I have thought about putting it up for sale but it's soooo comfy to bimble about on and lots of fun when the going gets rough :D
sorry
