GT Karakoram - all original parts just need help with year??

Hi new to retro bikes but managed to find this Karakoram for £100 with just a few scratches but all original spec from what I can tell....even has the original WTB tyres in original condition!

Thinking this is about 95/96 based on LX groupset with canti brakes...

Can anyone help with year for it?

Plan to keep it original...just need to replace ripped saddle with a correct one for year!

No it's not particularly rare.

A decent bike nonetheless.

Lovely bike to ride. I had a '96 tequesta which shared the same frame.

Welcome. Yes 96 they went flame mad.

I have a Timberline in the same colour, also have a Backwoods in Yellow/blue flame. The was Karakoram, Tequesta, Backwoods, Agressor, Timberline and Talera in various 2 tone colours with flames.

Thanks for comments going to keep this one original and enjoy the feel of a bike that remind of how bikes rode when I started mountain biking 17 years ago....the bars are so narrow!

Doing complete opposite on my new carbon zesty which is getting through upgrade programme!
