Looking at the back catalogue, teghre seems to have been a fair few models available

been scouring the net for sale ones to no avail

Have you searched the site, because there are a couple of Edges here. Steel ones. One in Australia and mine in Canada are two that come to top of mind for me. There is also a whole thread dedicated to the CX version of the Edge.
