Grrr, can't seem to fit my Lefty fork to my Raven, advice?

Thanks guys, the wheels turned up today and they are beautiful! Got charged no customs at all either. I have almost all the parts I need to assemble but I still have the problem of not knowing what colour anodizing to go with on her!

Going to strip the Risse shock off the other Raven, stick it on in basic form, slap the other bits on, take a pic and then I would love opinions for what colour ano to deck her out with. Got a gold sram cassette already but may well not go gold.

Cheers,

Nick.

Right, there is a quick slap together. The wheels to look a tad subdued but not the end of the world. Guys, any opinions on what colour to go with the anodized bits?

Cheers,

Nick :)

almost dead on 26lbs fully assembled as I didn't go supert lightweight with everything. I am too old to be fixing punctures all the time etc so things like heavy self sealing inner tubes have been slapped on.

Once I get the hoses cut down on the brakes I am going to post her up along with the spec. Will prob post up the other raven too and too D-Jab as she has been totally overhauled as well :)

Well, I got back just in time to go out for her maiden voyage along with the other half yesterday. 21 miles of on/off road. I am utterly in love with this Raven, the ride is just stunning, even better than I thought she was going to be.

I think I was grinning for the entire ride, looks beautiful, rides beautifully, got no end of bizarre looks from people too which was a bonus lol. did a couple of bonkers downhills, a few 3-4ft dropoffs and quite a bit of hill climbing. Everything was great, especially with my big old butt on it.

No finished photos but the spec is:

Cannondale Raven Mk1 in Chromalusion Purpleen, new headset and swingarm bearings
Cannnondale Lefty Speed Carbon SL 110mm fork with green project 321 lefty cap
Risse Astro-5 Rear Shock
XTR-M970 Shifters, front mech, rear mech
FSA Team Issue Megaexo XC Carbon Chainset with green NC-17 chainring bolts
Formula R1 Brakes with Ashima 180mm sawblade rotors and North Shore billet rear bracket in green
Spinergy Xyclone Wheelset
Schwalbe Nobby Nic Evolution Tyres
Dr Sludge self sealing tubes
USE Atom Handlebars
SRAM PG990 rear cassette in green
SRAM PC991 Chain
Controltech iPost Carbon Seatpost
SDG Bel-Air RL Ti saddle
Spezialized Zee Bottle Cage
Green anodized bolts pretty well everywhere I could put them and gold Ti bolts for the important areas.

I think that is about it :).

would love to see some finished pics..

very tempted to try and getone of these (or similar) for the missus to replace her iron beastie

I have put up a thread with finished pics:

Did a 23 mile all road ride on her today and with that suspension combined with that frame I love it more and more. The frame design/shock postion combined with that Risse shock means that there is virtually no bob from the rear when climbing hard out of the saddle and the lefty lockout really is a totally solid lockout, unlike a load of other front shocks I have tried that claim to lockout, yet still move up and down just enough to annoy ;).

I could have bought a really kick ass MTB with the money she has cost me but I wouldn't, this bike is simply perfect IMO :).

Cheers,

Nick :).
