After abit of advice...

Fitting new odi grips to my srt800s but would like to refit my bar ends.......which is best way to go about it?

Slide levers/ controls further up the bars and fit grips as they are, or trim the ends where lock wire grooves are.

Even not fit bar ends if need be, i do like extra positions it gives me.

I have fitted exactly this in the past. I have shaped the end with a VERY SHARP Stanley blade to conform exactly to the shape of the bar end and snugged it right up, getting a seamless fit between the bar end and the grip. Comfy.

Just didnt want to ruin the grips, do seem a fair bit wider than the standard grips controls would be a good inch or so inboard on each side.

BITD I fitted a pair of clear Onza Ules and cut them with a sharp knife.

That's exactly what I did :)

Just cut the grips, unless you like having the brake Levers touching in the middle of the bars

Re:

I've just done the same on my c16r, only I went with gripshift 102mm and cut the first link off. I tried it with nice normal length grips that i didn't want to cut, but it pushed everything too close together, making technical stuff really twitchy! Bite the bullet dude and cut them down. I'd go with 2manyoranges, and use a fresh Stanley blade to do it.

Re:

I usually move things along a bit and keep the grips the right length but mostvthe bar ends I've done this with haven't had huge clamps
