Anyone heard of these ? A search of the net shows nothing really.

Do recall reading an association with Zoobits though.

I remember seeing them circa 1994 in the Sensible Bicycle Company, Liss. For some reason they reminded me of Middleburn. Were they british? Never saw them after that.

You're right, the guy that started Grey components was one Andy Grey who worked at Sensible Bike Co in the workshop (He also used to race a very quick 2CV  ). he used Zoobits to distribute but only lasted a couple of years at the most.

He had a close association with Middleburn as the owner of middleburn used to come on Saturday rides & also the owner of Goldtech too :)

Amongst others he made seatpost collars, V brakes (but not levers) a Vbrake jobby cable stop thing for Kona's etc. & anodized bolts.

The V brakes were really nice but i should think they are now pretty rare.

Hi

Thanks for that, I was going to say that I thought the brand had some local connection.

When I drive through Liss I often wonder where it all went wrong for the SBC.

Many thanks for the info guys.

I only ask, as I found a pair of NOS barends in some stuff I aquired..thought they looked nice, but had never heard of the brand before.

Tizzy who owned SBC moved the shop to Petersfield but then became ill & had a breakdown so the shop closed

He was a lovely bloke, lent me & my mate his Cannondale Tandem circa '94 to used on a charity bike ride.

The old shop front is still there, always brings back cool memories when i drive past ( I grew up in Liss & my parents still live there)
